Not only our name, but the entire vision behind our brand was inspired by the pure and natural beauty of Nordic countries and their accompanying way of life. The minimalist beauty shelf

Like fashion, food and other industries, beauty is going through a fast-paced era. And while overhauled shelfies may look good on your Instagram page, you really don’t need to have that many products on rotation.

The most prominent feature in our slow skincare approach is probably our minimal collection. Our aim is to simplify your beauty routine. You won’t find an abundance of different cleansing products, serums and moisturisers in our webshop. Instead, you can create your personal skincare routine by mixing and matching our four-step routine. No more overchoice - just start with the essentials and tailor your routine according to how your skin feels.

Being consistent with the products you apply onto your face and body is key to healthy, balanced skin. But it has other benefits as well: when you use less products, you produce less waste and you have to spend less money in an endless search for the right skincare products. On top of that, not having to deal with overchoice and having a steady routine to look forward to every evening stimulates wellbeing and reduces stress.

Ingredient selection and small-batch production

In addition to our limited collection, we are also adapting the slow skincare approach to our formulation and production process. How do we do this? Firstly, by carefully selecting our ingredients. We don't jump on trends and fill our products with the "latest and greatest", without doing sufficient research into the provenance and quality of these temporary hypes. Instead, we take the time to test and research high-quality botanical ingredients such as yarrow, sage, burdock and St. John's wort, which make up our signature quadri-gold complex. Ingredients that not only feel and smell good, but also have a positive long-term effect on the skin.

We also produce on a small scale, in small quantities. The advantage? It ensures that our products are fresh and natural, without a load of nasty preservatives, and it keeps us flexible. This means we can adapt and improve our products quickly and easily if the need arises.

Slow skincare in the bathroom

Another Norwegian term we like to apply to our approach to skincare is hygge: embracing warm, pleasant moments. For us, this translates into relaxing moments in the bathroom. Our favorite slow skincare routine consists of the following steps.

Take a nice warm shower or bath with our wonderfully scented and soothing chamomile and lavender hand and body cleanser. Anything that smells like lavender is a great option for calming the mind!
Pamper yourself by massaging your arms, legs and stomach with our nourishing, moisturizing body oil. Your muscles will relax and you'll escape the daily grind for a while.
Cleanse your face thoroughly, but gently, with our Gentle Cleansing Milk and Exfoliating Cleansing Pad. No rush, just a gentle massage to de-stress your face and intensely cleanse your pores.
Close your eyes and breathe in the refreshing, soothing scent of our facial toner. That's why we're so in love with this soothing mist!
And of course, we can't forget a facial massage in our slow skincare ritual. The essential face serum and face roller are essential for this, while the gua sha stone helps to release even more tension on the face by stimulating well-defined acupressure points.
Finally, we end with the moisturizing face cream. This rich, fast-absorbing cream provides excellent hydration and leaves skin soft and supple. It's the perfect conclusion to your slow skincare ritual.
