Your skincare questions, explained simply
Three questions we’re often asked, clearly answered by Likami
Every month, we receive many questions about skincare: what your skin truly needs, why it reacts in a certain way and how best to support it. Understandably so, because skincare does not have to be complicated, but it sometimes requires the right explanation.
At Likami, we always start with the skin itself. Not with quick fixes or passing trends, but by understanding its signals and respecting its natural balance.
Question 1: “Is it really necessary to use a toner, or is it just an extra step?"
Toners have evolved. The old-school, alcohol-heavy formulas that stripped skin are largely a thing of the past. A modern, well-formulated toner serves a real purpose: it rebalances the skin's pH after cleansing, preps the skin to absorb what comes next, and can deliver a first layer of active hydration.
Our Facial Toner is infused with our Quadri Complex® to calm and condition the skin in one gentle sweep. Think of it less as an extra step and more as the bridge between cleansing and treatment — one that makes everything else work harder.
Question 2: "Can I use the same moisturiser in the morning and at night?"
You can — but your skin has different needs depending on the time of day.
In the morning, your skin needs protection: a lighter moisturiser that layers well under SPF and doesn't interfere with your makeup.
At night, your skin shifts into repair mode. This is when a richer, more nourishing formula can work in harmony with your skin's natural regeneration cycle.
Our Daily Defence Fluid and Goodnight Renewal Cream are designed as a pair — both botanically powered, both barrier-supportive, but each calibrated for the rhythm of your skin's day.
Question 3: "How long does it actually take to see results from a new skincare routine?"
Patience is part of the ritual. Skin renews itself approximately every 28 days, so meaningful change takes time.
In the first two weeks, you may notice improved texture and hydration. By week four to six, tone and clarity begin to shift. Deeper concerns — pigmentation, fine lines, barrier repair — often require a consistent 8–12 week commitment.
The key word is consistent.
Switching products too quickly is one of the most common reasons people don't see results. Trust the process, trust your botanicals, and give your skin the time it deserves to respond.
