5-Minute Gua Sha face massage
The heat wave and humidity of summer has left many of us stressed and tense. A common part of our bodies that shows signs of stress and tension is our face. If this sounds like you, we have an excellent tip to help you de-stress and relax this week - massaging your face with a Gua Sha. All you need is a Gua Sha tool and to understand the basics of this facial massage technique.
Follow these steps and you'll be amazed!
Using the smooth edge of the stone, gently scrape the base of your neck and move upward towards the bottom of your chin. Repeat this process 3-5 times for your entire neck area.
Place the sculpting edge of the Gua Sha on your chin and gently run it through your cheek towards your ear. Repeat the process 3-5 times on both sides of the face.
Using the smooth edge of the Gua Sha, glide the stone over your smile lines and gently move upwards. Repeat the process 3-5 times.
Slide the stone from the jaw bone to the cheek bone.
Gently run the stone around your mouth area.
Slide the scultping edge of the stone from your chin upwards towards your temple. Repeat the process 3-5 times for both sides of your face.
Gently use the smaller round edge of the Gua Sha to sweep through the contour of the eyes.
Scarpe gently towards the middle of your eyes and move from one eyebrow bone to another. Repeat the process 3-5 times
For the forehead, sweep the sculpting edge of the stone upwards towards the scalp about 5 times. Then slide the stone from one side of the forehead to another.
And there you have it! You have just released your skin from the hustle and bustle of the busy week!
